Title: Smoke Generator Temp Sensor Bypass Plug
Post by: paulsnapp on March 28, 2013, 03:17:46 AM
I know there are other threads that describe the bypass plug used to eliminate the small Bradley cable that connects the smoke generator to the temp sensor in the tower.  But, here is a photo of the ones I made.  Very simple, just a 100k ohm 1/2 watt resistor soldered to the two leads inside the connector.  You can then just plug this bypass plug into the smoke generator and it will operate as if it were connected to the tower.  Since it is no longer connected to the tower, the temp display on the smoke generator will be fixed at 77F.  Different resistor values would result in different temp displayed but the 100k ohm gives 77F.:

I have broke 3 or 4 of these plugs moving my smoke gen.

I always forget when I go to move it.

Just ordered and recieved 3 from Bradley. $5 each.
