Title: Dead 4 Rack Digital Smoker
Post by: oakville smoker on April 14, 2013, 03:45:36 AM
My 4 rack digital died last night
I had a 20 pound butt in there for my Masters party today
2 beeps and dead.  I t was going along nicely
Worst part is it was going to be an overnight smoke and I would have woke up to a dead smoker and raw butt this morning
Dead as in smoke generator has no power, element has no heat

I plugged it into a different plug and it still did not fire
Thankfully I have a Keg as back up

Any ideas?  Not sure that I am going to spend anymore money on this thing
But if its a cheap fix, I will repair

Thank

Did you check the fuse in the back of the SG?

check the following

1) fuse on the back of the  smoke generator
2) check you have  power at the plug you are using... it might be a gfic that has  tripped or you may have tripped the breaker in the panel

Reset breaker & gfi. If gfi has tripped, it should show a red led.
