Title: Steaks
Post by: Bassman on May 17, 2006, 09:34:19 AM
Last night I took 2 New York Strip steaks( 2 inches thick), cold smoked for an hour. Lightly sprinkled with this quick and easy rub. Then grilled. :P  WOW were they good. Here's the rub I threw together:

3 tbl  Salt (hickory smoked)
2 tbl  Paprika
1 tbl  black pepper
1.5 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp garlic powder
.5 tsp cayenne pepper
.5 tsp coriander
.5 tsp turmeric
1 tsp worcestershire powder

BigSmoker,
No, I did not smoke the salt myself. I bought it online. I get all my spices from Spice Barn.
