After my last gaffe, I'm a little hesitant to post a trouble shooting question, but it appears that my smoke burner is not heating. The smoker has power, and the heating element appears to be working, but the pucks are not burning at all.
Thoughts?
Well, salmon and sausages are on the trusty WSM. But I sure would appreciate any feedback on why the smoker-burner wouldn't be firing. Again, power to smoker unit and oven heating element is working fine.
disconnect the smoke generator from power and the tower,,, open up the smoke generator and look for any loose connections especially the one to the puck burner or the power to it
Open up... from the bottom? Just pull that plate off?
No sign of anything amiss. Trying to preheat and burn one more time to see if I fixed anything by accident. Then I'll call them tomorrow.

Remove the screws along the outside edge of the SG. I think there are 8 of them. Leave any near the center alone. Then it opens up like a clamshell and you can check all connections to see that they are tight.
This link, with pics, will help with taking apart the SG: How Do I Clean My Generator? (http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?488-Answers-To-Bradley-Smoker-FAQ-s&p=987#post987)
Done, clean and tight, no luck on additional heat. Food off the WSM was great, as usual.
Smoking again with (a new) BDS, thanks to Bradley CS and Outdoor Emporium in Seattle for recognizing that a faulty burner was the issue and for NOT making me wait and hassle with the replacement part. Tested all the wires, all the way up to the burner "rod" and had proper amps all the way, so must have been an isolated bad burner.
Now the 4th of July can go off as planned.
That Bradley customer service is top notch !! Glad they got you going again!!
