Title: No Smoke
Post by: Skeemr on July 06, 2013, 05:52:19 AM
Just purchased the digital 4 rack. Worked great when I seasoned the smoker. Three days later when I have 2 pork loins and ribs to smoke I cannot get the damn thing to generate smoke. Everything else works fine. Temperature was fine, pucks were advancing but still no smoke. Need help solving this issue!

disconnect the smoke generator from the tower and  power, Open the smoker generator typically it is  removing the 8 outer screws   from around the bottom and check the power  connector to the puck burner and  any other  connections, ( I think  the power connector to the  burner may  have came  loose )  if all the connections are  good then you may  have a  bad puck burner...contact bradley

If the above didn't solve the problem you can check the puck burner with a multimeter to see if it is OK.  Disconnect one wire off it and check across both wires with the multimeter.  It should read around 113 ohms resistance.

I'm having the same problem ... smoker worked great on the initial 1 hour and even through my first batch.  But now on my second attempt to use it ... no smoke.  Puck advancer works, oven heat works, timers work.  i've plugged and unplugged all connections.  I have yet to pull it apart and look inside for connections or test ohms ... one shouldn't have to go to such effort on a new product.
