Title: Honey Heat beef sticks
Post by: Sailor on July 13, 2013, 08:06:31 AM
Been working on a recipe that has honey and heat.  Used my old stand by snack stick recipe and mixed in 5 TBSP of honey and added some brown sugar and doubled the Cayenne pepper.  They give you the sweetness up front, the favor of the other spices in the middle and the Hello you remember me at the end.  3rd batch that I have made this way and friends and family like them so guess all is good.  No photos of the spices, mixing or stuffing got a late start and forgot to take photos.

All stuffed and ready for the smoker

All hung and will apply 3 hrs of hickory

Sailor,

Did you ever post your recipe. I want to try making some sweet and spicy snack sticks but haven't found a recipe yet

Thanks
