Title: Pulled Pork for wife's Quilt Guild Meeting
Post by: Saber 4 on August 06, 2013, 07:21:26 PM
I got reminded on Sunday night that I had to do pulled pork for their meeting, so quick trip to the store Monday morning after cleaning the smoker from the beef bacon on Sunday. 4 hours of mesquite at 220 pulled after 14 hours at 185 and it looked good.

FTC's for about 5 hours so I could catch a little sleep, put it in the oven with some apple juice at 350 for an hour then pulled it and into the crock pot, she wanted a light toss with some Stubbs Original so it wouldn't be to spicy for the ladies.

Just heard from my wife on her way home and she said they loved the pulled pork, glad I put some in a vac bag in the freezer for later.

Amen to that, next to the pleasure I get from creating any successful food project is the enjoyment others get from it. Have you ever noticed at the best part of gatherings with family and friends the most fun is had hanging around the kitchen or barbeque area where the food is happening.

Indeed; the cooking area is always where friends and family congregate.

Pork looks great  ;)

Perfect excuse to add mods or extra toys..
"BUT MY LOVE I NEED THIS IN ORDER TO GET YOUR PULLED PORK DONE. I DON'T WANT YOU TO NOT BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON YOUR PROMISE"  LOL

I figure after she see's what everyone else is doing at the smokeout, I could end up with some really good toys, after all she does have a 14' quilting machine :D

agreed, I love the response to the food I make more then eating it myself. I can't stand 95% of the people I work with, but I bring stuff in all the time just for the reaction.
