Title: Pork shoulder capacity
Post by: Shasta bob on August 25, 2013, 01:17:07 PM
I have an original OBS with a Auber PID how many pork shoulder roast can I fit in it at one time? I'm thinking of smoking four at one time if this has ever done by other members here before. Suggestions appreciated.

I did 4 butts (total 39 pounds) in my unmodified OBS about a year ago.  Thread is here (http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=28663.msg340965#msg340965).  Note that I did only the smoke phase in the Bradley and finished in the oven and crockpots. Came out great.

at the package  weight of 19  lbs,,  you  would be able to  only  do 2 packages at a  time... and be a tight  fit.... top  end of  weight  in a  4 rack is  some  where around 40 to 45  lbs

I believe the weight limit is the top weight each pair of rack supports can handle.
