Looking for info on replacement synchronous motor for my Bradley, the slide for the biscuits does not complete the return cycle.

Check to see if the pusher arm is not bent this could be the problem.

Don't know what generator you have but sometimes the micro switch gets out of wack and stops the return.

sometimes the sawdust from the pucks accumulates and distorts the movement.

Beside the other information provided, it could be the motor if the motor gears are partially stripped, but the most common problem is due to blockage of some sort.

If the motor is working and the bisquettes do not fully cycle, that is usually caused by some sort of blockage. If there is any blockage the motor will not complete the cycle. It will stop, reverse, and reset for the next 20 minute cycle. It could be a wire inside the generator that is in the way of the arm, but most likely there is too much debris built on the drive guide. The drive guide is the rail the bisquettes move on toward the burner. Make sure that is clean, especially along the corner edges; along with the bisquette burner.

Other known causes:

Mr. Hab Smoker, I do believe the gears are partially stripped, maybe a tooth or two, as it does engage when I give it a nudge . Therefore it has to be inside the motor which is totally sealed, where should I look for another motor, I've had my Bradley for 10+ years now this minor problem.
Thank you,

You can call Bradley direct for parts or go to yardandpool.com which run by a forum member and stocks parts

If you are still under warranty, call Bradley, review the problem with them, and they will send you a motor. If the warranty has expired and you live in the U.S, the best place to purchase a motor would be from Generator Motor (http://www.yardandpool.com/bradley-smoker-replacement-generator-motor-w-arm-and-pin).

There is one more test you can do to check if it is the motor. Remove the feeder tube and press the advance button. When the shuttle pulls back stick you index finger in the opening. When the shuttle comes in contact with your finger, you should feel a firm pressure against your finger before the shuttle retracts. If it retracts almost immediately when it comes in contact with your finger, you have a bad motor.

Habanero Smoker, thanks for the information on the testing,  I checked it prior and the arm did retract. Therefore I'll check the information  that you and Saber4 have provided. Thanks you all now I can get back to my smoking.
