Title: Some Patriotic Nostalgia
Post by: Habanero Smoker on June 06, 2006, 03:34:05 PM
I remember first hearing (and seeing) this while watching the Red Skelton Show when I was a kid. As Flag Day draws near, and Independence Day is just around the corner; this web page is a good reminder of America is all about. It's time we get back on course.

Hab thanks for the link.  While I have heard this before it is always good to hear it again.

BTW We have all of the cable channels there are. While I don't watch a lot of TV I did see a couple of *cough* comedy shows. What a bunch of garbage.

I was reminded of being a boy watching Red Skelton. He could make sad person laugh.  Yet he never needed the rubber crutch of the F word or sexual content to hold a person's attention. Jimmy Durante was another one.

You are correct we need to get back to the basics.

Well I'm aging myself also but Amen Old's. I used to love watching him. Hard to find good clean entertainment anymore.
