Title: heating element not working
Post by: Rider on November 23, 2013, 10:28:01 AM
I just replaced the switch for the puck advance and that is working again.  Problem now is the heating element is not getting power.  I tested the where the plug comes out of the main box and there is no power.  Help, I am hoping to smoke a turkey in few hours.
Thanks,

The puck element works, I have power to the display but not to the element in the smoker box.

Jeezz oh Pete, took the box apart and see that I had pulled two wires so the pieces could come apart more to get the switch in.  Put them back together and now I have heat!
Good thing I don't work on my own vehicles anymore, it would take a week to change the oil!
Happy Smoking

Glad you got it figured out so quick, nothing worse than being the cause of your own malfunction :D
