I will smoke these tomorrow not sure what wood yet but I am leaning pecan. I usually go cherry but I am out. I like the longer the better method for the marinade in this recipe. It's hard to not, I mean stop licking the spoon.

Mmmmm pecan is a nice mild fruity smell. Should be a nice contrast to the hot marinade.

Here they are after drying out in the oven. Note: do this in small batches. Mine are still good but because I tried drying them out all at the same time they have a bit of a char flavor. Still good just not where I would want them. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/01/je3a9ygy.jpg)
