Finally after 71 days in the shop for warranty work we are back in GA. Going to stay for a week then head to Florida for a few months.
1st thing tomorrow is go get my smokers from the storage place.

Bet it feels good to sleep in your own bed tonight. I bet those smokers get a real workout after all the smoking you did for everyone in PA, time to stock your pantry. It was a sad day today when I ate the last snack stick and cheese you sent, once Christmas is over I'm going to have to get busy on learning how to do sticks and dried sausages.
Home Sweet Home! :)
Does your MIL still stay at FL Caverns? Next Saturday we are going down to Spring Hill for a week in our Allegro. Taking MIL with us to spend Christmas with all three of her daughters along with most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Unfortunately there will not be time for smoking but there will be lots of great food.
71 days is a long time! What did you break?

She does camp ground host at FL Caverns. Right now there is no room so she is going to be at Keystone heights Mike Roess Gold Head St park doing host. My wife is going to volunteer there also, im going to sit, go fishing, smoke and stuff, i dont work for anyone anymore ;D
Factory problem.
Water leak from the top left down into the bottom of the slide. we didnt know until we would pull the slide in. The water shorted the surround system out, ruined the linoleum. So all this time they replaced seals, did some sealing on the top, replaced the surround system, floor wood, entire linoleum, shimmed the rollers on the slide and a few other things.
How do you get all your smoking gear in the MH and still have room.
Glad you are back in your unit. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely Wife. Looking forward to next Smoke Out
Do you need to hook up a trailer to take your smokers with you? :o
that was a lot of work,.,, glad it was under warranty

I had a similar problem develop with my fifth wheel. Since it was out of warranty I decided to trade it for my current Allegro motorhome. I took my Allegro to the factory for some minor repairs and some modifications. Took them a week. Great folks up there in Red Bay, Alabama. Although I live in Florida, Red Bay is due north of us near the top of Alabama.
I know what you mean about working. I even hire someone else to cut my grass. Worked all my life (starting on a farm) and now it is my turn to kick back.
Glad u finally got it back!! We made a big jump this year to a new fifth wheel and i bought the extended warranty just in case there was issues!! Being out of your "home" for that long had to be rough!!

Love to see some pictures of your new fifth. I owned 3 fifth wheels over the years.
I had extended warranties on all three of my previous RVs. None of the warranty companies were any good. They are great at replacing AC's, refrigerators, and stoves, but worthless with everything else. AC's, refrigerators, etc. are kind of expensive (around $600 to $1500) but hardly worth the $2500 or more to cover them. I did not get one on the motor home. I plan to keep the $3,500 that I would have paid in a separate bank account to cover what might break and I am confident that I will come out ahead. Of the thousands that I have spent on extended warranties in the past, I had one refrigerator, one water pump, and 1 AC replaced. When you think about it, they are in the business of making money and the chance that you will have over a thousand dollars in repairs in a single unit during the coverage period are slim. They do not cover things that are still under factory warranty and anything that could be contributed to inappropriate maintenance, or normal wear and tear.
We got a Open Range 427BHS. It is a beast and we love it for as much as we are on the road. Open Range has a pretty good factory warranty department and plus they are only 3 hours from me so i can go direct to the factory if need be.

Wow! That beast looks even bigger than my last fiver. I had a 38.5 foot Big Horn.
Honestly it pulls like a dream and we have been up some good hills with it and the Duramax pulls like a champ. It is 41' long plus the truck LOL!! 12,500 lbs empty i would say with all the stuff the wife and kids have it in we are pushing the 15,000 lbs range, but its our home away from home with my wives business.
Mine was right at 12,500 also. Never had a problem pulling it. Sometimes I had problems finding sites big enough. We like state and federal parks and those monsters just do not fit in some of them. I do miss the room the fiver had.
We have a few select places that are tough to get in and out of but it is nice to have the extra space and some of the funny looks u get when u pull into places is hilarious!! Well next year we hope to pull to Tennessee and Possible further depending on work we want to get to the smokies really bad and eventually take a long 2 weeks and go to Florida for some fun time. With 2 kids that are 5 & 8 the extra room is great they have there own area and also there own 1/2 bath so its nice to have the extra space and privacy!
Sorry we kind of hijacked the thread Nepas!!

No hijack/no worries.
Sounds like you got a good plan
Yeah with these you need the extended warranty. We got the 60 month extended bumper to bumper. All this warranty work was covered with the original as it was a factory damage.
Glad you got the rig fixed Rick. I also apologize for the hijack. Just kind of got excited talking about RV's. You know how that is. I want to try that park you guys are going to one of these days. I have family in Jacksonville and my wife has family a little north of Tampa. That park is between the two.
Lots to do and see in Tennessee. Our favorite area is Chattanooga. We made 3 trips lasting a week each to see and do all we wanted there.
Fly those flags proudly.
