Title: BDS 4 seems kind of fragile
Post by: al_sfbay on December 15, 2013, 10:52:06 AM
I keep having problems with my BDS4 getting hot.  Then I wiggle the smoke generator and all is well.  It seems kind of touchy and it is difficult for me to access being on the ground and in the corner of my deck.  I think I should be putting it on a base.  Does anybody else do this?

Sure, lots of people do. Just search the word cart on the forum and you will see all kinds. I like this one. Very tidy and smart looking.

Many of us use a counter height table or cart, which works very well. The bottom does not give off much heat so you can even place it on a plastic table.

As far as you needing to wiggle the generator to get the smoker to perform properly, check all connections and make sure they are snug. The below link will provide some useful tips.

thanks HS, I am kinda having a tough time as I don't have a lot of room and I think it may have been bumped or something.  At any rate I will check them.
