Can't seem to get the smoke generator to stay on keeps getting an E flashing the oven works but the smoker doesn't  can someone help this is a BTDS76P 4 rack

Try taking that thin cord and reversing the connections, sometimes it can be finicky. Most E messages are from that cord not making a good connection.

Wiggle all your wire connections. It's a known issue.

Disconnect and reconnect all of your wires.  Make sure all are FIRMLY seated.  This worked for me.
