Can't seem to get the smoke generator to stay on keeps getting an E flashing the oven works but the smoker doesn't can someone help this is a BTDS76P 4 rack
Try taking that thin cord and reversing the connections, sometimes it can be finicky. Most E messages are from that cord not making a good connection.
Wiggle all your wire connections. It's a known issue.

See if one of these helps:
My smoker displays an E1 error on the screen. What should I do? (http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?488-Answers-To-Bradley-Smoker-FAQ-s&p=761#post761)
What is an "E" message? (http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?488-Answers-To-Bradley-Smoker-FAQ-s&p=839#post839)
Disconnect and reconnect all of your wires. Make sure all are FIRMLY seated. This worked for me.
