Title: Getting rid of curing salts
Post by: Smokeville on January 01, 2014, 10:30:18 AM
Hello all;

I want to dispose of 2 bags of Instacure. What's the safest way?

Thanks, Rich

If it wasn't so expensive I would say mail it to Texas, however I would imagine that if nothing's wrong with it and you just aren't using it anymore one of the Canadian forum members might want it. Of course the non politically correct method would be to run it down the drain with hot water to dissolve it

I'm sure that some of the Canadian members will be more then happy to even pay the postage for Instacure.

Mailing them to me is the safest way.

The reason I want to get rid of them is that they are pure white. I bought them from Canada Compounds a few years ago. I'm a bit nervous about someone confusing them with salt, so I bought a small bag of pink salt a month ago.

I'll go grab the bags, take photos of the labels and post.
