Title: New toys
Post by: tpb on January 02, 2014, 04:57:53 AM
Picked myself up a new electric grinder from Cabela's with some gift certs I had to replace the manual one I have been using.  Also grabbed a few more books of sausage making.  Now if it would only warm up from the -40 that it has been I'd be good to go and try out some new recipes.  Supposed to warm up tomorrow to about -5c or so, so going to throw something in the smoker for supper I hope.  Thinking I'll have to pick up a new vacuum sealer for all the great stuff that is going to come out of that grinder.  The one I have is not very good.  Hope everyone had a good new years.

I have a Weston Pro-2300 vac sealer.  Not cheap, but it's fantastic.

I bought the LEM Max Vac sealer and Like it BUT you can't find 14" bags for it that will work.  I just bought it 2 weeks ago and i am trying to return it because i want the Weston one or the one from Cabelas that will do 15" bags.  If you where closer i would offer to sell it to for a deep discount be get a little money back out of it so the wife doesn't kill me LOL!!
