Was at an outdoors show over this past weekend and came across a couple places to stay and fish here (cabins and such) Hoping some of the members here north of me might have a little in-site on the area. Looking at a trip this fall or early next spring. Looking to relax and lots of fishing. Appreciate the help.
Google searched the lake bc I wasn't familiar. Walleye Central has this thread. I think you could do better...

Oh and by the way I do go to Canada for fishing trips but I go on fly in trips. If your interested in that I can recommend some good outfitters. Good luck!
Not cheap but IMHO worth every penny! www.higharctic.com.
I don't live too far from this area. A buddy of mine has a cabin, not on Crotch, but on a nearby lake, we go up every year usually during hunting season. There are literally thousands of lakes in this area.
It depends what you want. This area is absolutely beautiful, fairly close to amenities with lots of wildlife. It is perfect if you are going to relax with your family and want to do some hiking, camping and a bit of fishing. There is fish there, but if you are going with a group of guys for some serious, all-day, every day fishing, go further north, this isn't the place.
The best way to describe it is a place to go with the family for some wilderness without having to really go in the wilderness. Hard to beat for a vacation with a young family though.
X 2 on what Woodlawn said. Great spot for a "family" vacation but just not the spot if you are going just to fish.
Thanks everyone, Looked at what everyone said and posted. Decided to blow this place off. Defiantly want some good fishing. it's just the wife and I and she is very hesitant on getting on a float plane. An 8 hour drive is not out of the question though. Coming from Cleveland Ohio area. So any other suggestions are welcome and thanks for the feed back.
