New to the Bradley but have been using a Cabelas masterbuilt for years.
Tried a moose roast last night and had poor luck.
over 3 hrs. and inside temp was only 95 F. Internal meat temp started at 51 F
and climbed to 70 F after over 3 hr. had to finish roast in oven, was not to happy.
Out side temp was 12 below 0 F with a wind. I semi enclose the smoker with 1 in.
insulation but didn't help much.
What happened.
Thanks Odi from Eganville Ont.
welcome aboard, lots of good information and people here
Welcome aboard, Odi.
It sounds like the plug for one of the power cords was not plugged in all the way. It is a common problem. People post on the forum that their new smoker isn't heating hardly at all. After the plug suggestion is made they go out, reseat the plugs and all is well.
The plug connections on a new Bradley are somewhat hard to plug in all the way. Try unplugging each one and plugging back in tightly and see if that helps.
Thanks for the welcome guys. TedEBear I think you hit it right on, I used the
smoker before with no problems but I decided to bring it up to my deck this time
and the plug must have been pulled part way out, still made connection but not
good enough I guess. Took it back to my shed to try it & would not work at all.
Checked the plug ins and sure enough it heated up to 165 F in about 15 minutes.
I guess that was the problem.
Thanks Odi
