Title: Lox
Post by: Grouperman941 on March 07, 2014, 11:05:38 AM
I finally got around to trying lox with the last of the fish we caught in Alaska.

Not great pics, but here we go:

This was the finished product:

After the first cure and before the second:

Never managed to get a pic of any sliced. I have one piece left that I will try and remember to photograph.
I have never tasted lox so good. It was actually delicious after the first cure, better after the second, then amazing after the smoke.

So, what lox recipe did you use, Grouperman?  I've been wanting to try my hand at lox, but haven't gotten that far yet.

Spyguy's recipe from the recipe site.

Love the Lox, I remember getting it at the deli with my grandpa when I was a kid and have loved it ever since.
