Title: Got a spare?
Post by: GusRobin on March 10, 2014, 05:35:59 PM
Tomorrow afternoon after 20 weeks of chemo, my sister goes in for surgery for breast cancer. Asking for any spare prayers you may have.
Thanks - Gus

I have one available right now.
I have many family members who have had the same disease.  I pray for the cure for this, and for your sis.
Hugs to you
Paula

Prayers for you and your family, Gus.

I've got a good breast cancer story to share.  Well, as good as a cancer story can be.  Back in the early 60's, the early days of cancer treatment, my Grandmother had two separate radical mastectomy's.  Gram would have been about 50 years old at the time.  Gram lived to be a couple of weeks shy of 96 years old.  About 45 years beyond her cancer surgery.  Hopefully your sister will do as well as Gram did after her surgery.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Surgery went well and now the road to recovery begins. Biopsy of the removed lymph nodes will determine that.

I got lots of extra prayers.... Lost my mom to this and my cousin lost her ML. My cousin had to get Biopsy and it came back positive. She didn't mess around, just had them cut off, two years and doing fine. Know too many people in this situation. My cousin is now into the relay to life stuff as well and one of my friends. I have no problem helping them raise money or sponsor them. Thought I would share a couple photos if you don't mind.

My friend doing the polar plunge a couple weeks ago (go-pro and all) raising money for his 24 hour walk coming up soon.
