Title: Anybody own a Vacmaster VP112?
Post by: KyNola on March 16, 2014, 07:07:51 PM
My Food Saver vac sealer crapped out on me yet again.  This is the 3rd Food Saver vac sealer I have replaced.  They last for me about 2-3 years and then they are toast.

I am now ready to step up to the next level.  I am looking at the Vacmaster VP112.  It is an investment for sure but if it will do the job better and in the long run be money saving I am willing to make the investment.

Anyone have one of these and if so what is your experience with it?

Thank you for your replies.

I think Iceman has one of them. If I remember right.

He does.  I had already communicated with him prior to my Food Saver crapping out.

We love ours.    It is pricey, but after 3 FoodSavers, and their expensive proprietary bags, it is all a wash.

We can run it all day long without waiting for the machine to cool down.

Downside...

BIG. (about as deep as the top of a washing machine)
HEAVY.  (60+ pounds I would imagine)

Yep. Still have it and working like a champ. Bought a bigger unit a couple years back to do the retort bags but still use the VP 112 for every day use.
