Title: Springtime in Texas
Post by: Saber 4 on May 12, 2014, 05:16:51 PM
Had to kill this little beauty inside the front door of the part of the house we are going to remodel on Saturday morning

Snakes don't much bother me (other than rattlers) but my wife would still be running if she saw that!!!

Only good snake has been run over by a fleet of semi trucks.
I think that one is dangerous.

He don't look it in the picture but he was DRT (dead right there) already, fortunately we are going to tear that part of the house apart and start over from scratch so it wasn't a big deal to shoot in the house.

If he'd been bigger he'd have become a teriyaki snake kabob on the SRG

It's a bad picture but it is a cottonmouth moccasin.

I thought the head shape looked like a pit viper of some sort. Don't care for those guys! Nothing poisonous indigenous to "east river" South Dakota, rattlesnakes fairly common "west river", see them ocassionally hunting in those parts of the state.

Yep, looked like a cottonmouth from my Tennessee days, don't have them here in California, but we do have lots of rattlers.  ( They taste like chicken when grilled. )
