By now some of you have probably noticed that my Moderator designation has been removed. It has been removed because I asked Brian to be relieved from that duty. There are several reasons I made the decision. One of the important reasons is that the "climate" of the Forum has notably changed to the point that I no longer feel I can be effective as a Moderator. My wife's mother is having some serious health problems that require a lot of our time. I too am having some health issues that prevent me from devoting the time I would like to devote to the Forum. It seemed like now was a good time for me to give up the position.
I have given Brian the name of a replacement if he wants to replace me.
I will still remain a member of the Forum, contributing my smoking adventures, offering recipes and assistance when asked.
a voice of moderation gone. thanks for the service and time in. may your health issues not hold you back to much. in our prayers.

Your family comes first as always, Kimmie and I will keep you and the family in our prayers
Sorry to hear about your health and that of your mother-in-law. Is she still performing camp ground host duties?
NePaSmoker, I'm also sorry to see you step down and to hear of you and your family's health issues. I'm glad you are still going to be on our forum. We all have many good smokes ahead of us!

I know how you feel I had a GI bleed while we were in Great Brition and ended up staying in the hotel room most of the trip, on returning to the USA I was admitted to the hospital I'm out know but its going to take time to get back to where I was before the trip. My sausage cabnet has been running now for over a month with no errors next to test the heating side next week if that goes well the we will make my first Salami. We will miss you as a Moderator.

Sorry to read your post. You have been a lot of help to me in my short time on the forum. I hope you won't mind a few PM's now and then when I get stuck on some project.
Paul
I appreciate the time you spent with us Rick. Always look forward to your posts.
You've helped me a lot, either directly or indirectly from me just reading your posts.
I hope the tone of this forum can be kind and civilized and respectful. I don't visit many forums on the web because of some of the nastiness I observe, but people here seem mighty nice for the most part, with the occasional hiccup.
I wish you the very best for your health and family's health and well being.
I hope to see lots of your posts moving forward!!

I think some of you missed this part. He isn't leaving just stepping down and taking a break from checking the forum several times a day.
Rick,
Thank you for your service to the forum, it will be missed but as has been said your health and your families health must come first. Judy and I are keeping you and your MIL in our thoughts and prayers, let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
