Title: Can I buy a pid from someone?
Post by: smokin zo on July 15, 2006, 11:20:34 AM
I'd like to buy a pid for my Bradley. Want it to fully control my temperature. Does anyone know where I can buy one?
Thanks
Larry

smokin zo,

Do a search on this site for "PID." You will find that a number of members have taken some off-the-shelf commercial units (fairly inexpensive), and boxed them up to control the BS. I built a custom one from scratch that uses the ET-73 temp probe, but that is more than a normal person should do.

Go to Ebay and do a search for a PID. That will get you the main component. You may need a relay depending on the unit. The box can be bought from Radio Shack.

Also search the forum, there is much information about PID's,
