Title: Two at a time
Post by: pesky on July 04, 2014, 07:59:27 AM
First time doing 2 five pound boneless pork butts at the same time. I've done many one at a time using 8 hours at 210 (4 hours smoke) rubbed and unwrapped then an additional 6 hours wrapped in foil at 210. Perfect every time. Do I need to make any adjustments for time or temp when I'm doing 2?

You may experience a little longer time due to the amount of cold meat in the tower preventing the temp in the tower from recovering as quickly.

you  may  want to bump the temp to  220 f and  expect the  time  still to be a bit  longer more  volume  more  time. also monitor the  temps of each  butts separately and  pull when there  done
