Title: Smoking AFTER Pulling?
Post by: Pic-N-Stick on October 22, 2014, 06:02:58 AM
Smoked a couple Boston Butts a while back.  After pulling, decided it didn't have enough smoke flavor, so I threw it back in the Bradley for 20 minutes of Mesquite.  Really finished it off nicely!  Anyone else tried this or do it on a regular basis?  Just curious!

While I have never personally smoked a pork butt after having pulled the meat, I have an acquaintance from the West Coast on another forum that will break down the finished butt into chunks and place them back on the smoker just as you described.  He was pleased with the result the first time he tried it.
