Took the butchers advice and got a pork butt. Went through many forums that I'm thankful for. Everyone's experience is a great help here and makes it much easier.
Went pretty simple with the rub, salt, pepper, cummin, brown sugar. Smoked for 9 hrs at 180 and cooked for another 4 hrs at 220. FTC it for a few more hours.
I used hickory on this one. It turned out amazing and everyone loved it.
Just wanna thank everyone that posts to the forum. Makes a beginner smoke like a pro. Usually lol
Special thanks to riverat as I used his sauce recipe. Was excellent!
