Title: How many pucks to smoke a load
Post by: SMOKESKULL on December 09, 2014, 11:30:49 AM
Of say trout or salmon? With my Big Chief it generally uses about 1 bag of chip per load so about $5.00. Anyone tell me approx cost with a New Bradley? Pucks seem a bit expensive.

The smoke generator on the Bradley cycles one every 20 minutes, so it uses 3 per hour.  It would depend on how many hours you want to apply smoke and your personal preference for how strong of a smoky flavor you want.  Most people tend to go 2-4 hours.

The cost of pucks can vary, depending on the size boxes you buy.  The 120 puck boxes are usually less expensive per puck than the smaller quantities.
