Hello, I have a 3rd gen PID model WSD-1201CPH.
I've bought replacement probes with the black plastic plug ends. They barely last 6 months with infrequent use. I always take the probes inside after use, but the plug becomes very brittle and just falls apart. I see that they have newer probes with metal plug ends. Are they much better? Anyone else have this issue? Ive gone through 3 probes in the last 2 years.

I guess I've never noticed, I leave my probes plugged in all the time and just clean the ends after I'm done using them
