I smoke my bone in prime rib a 225 until I get an internal temp of 130 to 135. Come out great every time.

I do the same, but stop at IT 125. We like it more rare. I smoke 3 hours, then it's usually about done.

That is a fairly large prime rib roast. I usually do my 5 pounders for 3.5 hrs at 200 then 3.5 hrs at 175. I guesstimate add 2 more hours for another couple pounds. I will pull mine just before 130 degrees but be aware that cooking it at this low a temp you will not get much climb in the rest period.

At 225 until IT hits 130 then out and out under broiler to get nice crust on it(only about 10 minutes or so). Then let rest under foil for 15 minutes.
Smoke time has gone between 3-5 hours with 2 hours of oak smoke.

I smoked my first prime rib a couple months ago and it was by far the best tasting meat I ever ate.  I did mine different I cold smoked mine using oak and hickory then finished it in my oven.  It came out so moist and tender you didn't have to use toothpicks after eating it.
