Title: New Year's Day Dinner
Post by: OldHickory on January 04, 2016, 05:10:17 PM
This is a tradition where I grew up in Tennessee.  Pork, black-eyed peas, greens, and corn bread.  Supposed to bring you luck for the coming year.

My wife has the table set.

I smoked/cooked the pork butt in the Bradley 8hrs and then finished in a roaster in the oven to IT of 200*

And I made cornbread.

The good luck started with this meal.  It was all delicious, and now I have some wonderful leftovers.

My father was from North Carolina, and brought that same tradition with him.
