Hi
My name is mrcrunchysocks and I have a problem. But I'll discuss that with my therapist...This is about my smoker. It it a real swell smoker and I have smoked some really swell food using it. Well its not all's swellsville with me.
Cabinet heats up when I run plug from power to cabinet, but when I run power through wood feed unit the cabinet will not heat up. Could use some insight and as to what I can do to correct.
thanks
welcome aboard...
things to try first..
1) Be sure all cabling are firmly seated,, the power to the wood feed unit,,,, and from the wood feed unit to the smoker,,,, some times they are not firmly seated,,, thus not letting the heating element in the tower operate.
2) open up the wood feed unit and check all connections being sure that there attached.
3) check the fuse on the back of the wood feed unit... replace if needed
4) check with an ohm meter that you have continuity on between the pins on the power plug on the tower,,, you should have indication between the two parallel ones,,, the one that is in not in a straight line is a ground .. and should have nothing there. this will check the circuity in the cabinet to be sure it is good,,, if not .. you may have blown a inline fuse and it needs to be replaced...
