Title: Dumb Question About Water Tray
Post by: J-Lo on June 06, 2016, 10:04:57 AM
What does everyone do with their used liquid, drippings and ash/spent pucks in the water tray/bowl after a smoke?  I tossed the first one in the grass and got a nice yellow/brown spot for it.  Simple problem but don't have a great solution.  Is it compostable?

I just drain the water out on the grass/dirt also. It is on the side of my garage that does not get any sunlight so not much grows there. The pucks I put in a bag then the garbage.

I'm fortunate. I have a large wooded area adjacent to my yard, and toss everything over the stone wall.

What I do with used cooking oil, grease etc. I use disposable containers such as plastic gallon jugs, or quart milk cartons, using a funnel I pour it in there. When filled I make sure the top is securely on, and through it out with the household garbage.

I drain the water off into a unused portion of the yard and put all the burnt pucks in the compost.

The leftover pucks are recyclable....or you can toss em in the trash

Dump it all in my fire pit with the tree branches and burn it while roasting a marshmallow.
