Title: Bradley 6 Rack Smoker-Caution
Post by: nrobertson on August 23, 2016, 06:08:25 AM
Good morning all, we had a fire in involving a Bradley 6 rack smoker. It appears the operator did not follow the instructions and did not place the drip bowl on the bottom rectangular tray. With no bowl to catch the drippings and the discarded bisquettes, a fire started in the bottom of the smoker. The drip bowl is vital to the safe operation of this unit. Due to the fire we dealt with involving the Bradley 6 Rack smoker, we have reached out to the agencies that are noted on the owners manual for further information on testing of these products. We are quite concerned about potential fire hazards with these smokers. These units do not carry a CSA or UL endorsement. Make sure your unit is not in a position that if a fire started, the fire will spread to your home.

This is a good reminder for everyone, and good advice for new users.

Thanks.

I suggest you change the title to better reflect what this post is about.
