Curious how to keep the skin from cracking while smoking goldeye. Am I using to much heat? WHAT temp and for how long do you usually smoke whole gutted and scalled fish at?

Btco, can you provide some more info? What type of fish is this goldeye? Fillets or whole? Oily or dry flesh?
