Title: NEED SOME HELP
Post by: josephbartos1970 on December 12, 2016, 10:10:34 AM
I have a Bradley BS-611 and the smoker does not go above 120 degrees F. Is there any help out there or should i take it back to cabelas and buy something different?

The smoker you got is a good smoker,so no need to take it back. I suggest you try the following:

- make sure all plugs are firmly seated in their receptacles
- Try and plug the smoker into a dedicated 110/120 volts circuit
- if unable to do that, use as short an extension cord as possible,of the proper gauge
-check and see if the heating element is glowing red
-depending on your ambient temperature, if the element isn't glowing red, that temp (120#) may indicate that  only the puck burner plate is operating,

Give this a try. Someone else may have further suggestions.

Good luck and don't give up on your new toy !

As Jim O said, sounds like only the puck burner is heating.  Unplug all plugs in the back and firmly reseat them.  Some times they need an extra push to properly seat them.  The short power jumper cord is most likely the culprit.

I had the same problem years ago when I got mine.   Was a loose connection inside the smoke generator.  Take off the bottom and check the connections
