Title: Cookshack "AMERIQUE" digital oven
Post by: Brother Bill on August 31, 2006, 07:35:40 AM
Took delivery this week on the above oven to compliment my SS BRADLEY! We will use it for large slow cooking or smoking products when we have the gang over. Will hold about 50 Lbs.Has anyone else tried one of these? Please let me know! Thanks

Nice looking smoker there! Nice features too! I cannot comment on that unit, but I did own two Cookshacks and...well let's just say I moved on.  However, those units did not cost $1,400.00 and did not have all of the features your unit has.

I would be most interested in how this new unit works for you. It would be nice to hear from you about a side by side of let's say 10 pounds of brisket in both of your units. Texas style (salt and pepper only) so the units are  judged on an even keel.

We will do a comparison as soon as I season & break it in so they both are somwhat equal. A friend of mine talked me into the Amerique, as he has 3or4 other smokers & likes this the best - he is probably as lazy as I am. I'll let you know the results after I test them using chicken & ribs as well.

I agree. I would like to hear more about how it performs, as well. Keep us posted!
