Title: Farewell Bradley Forum
Post by: manxman on September 03, 2025, 07:18:08 AM
Further to the recent post from Bradley Head Office regarding this forum I would just like to say it has been a blast. The forum is but a shadow of its former self and the time is now right for it to come to an end, from my point of view the important thing now is that there will be a link to the archived forum via the BS website.

I have had many years of enjoyment here, for most of the time it was the only forum I frequented. The stuff I learnt is beyond measure but more than that it was the comradeship and huge variety of characters that frequented these pages for the larger part of that 20 years that made it what it was notwithstanding the recent past has not seen the same level of engagement.

I don't do Facebook or indeed any social media so wont be moving to the dark side as it were but I would just like the raise a proverbial glass to the Bradley Smoker Forum and all who sailed in her! Some of the old hands are still here, many no longer post and all too many are sadly no longer with us but to one and all, including Bradley Smoker HQ itself, thank you!

Very best wishes for the future.

Hey Manx, nicely worded. It's been quite the ride. Pretty sure I joined in 2007. Made lots of friends during that time. I join you in raising the glass.

Cheers, my friend.

Yep definitely have you in the "old hands" category!

Cheers, my friend... take care.

Although the forum activity is just a fraction of what it used to be I'm sad to see this place go.  I became interested in smoking from a former coworker, purchased a Bradley and joined the forum back in 2010.  My stats say that I have spent over 32 days of my life on here - wow.

I learned a lot over those years, although I will never be as good as some of you smoking gurus.  However, it was fun trying out some new things that I read now and then.

Thanks for all the memories everyone.

Jeff

You got me there TedEbear, my stats show I am a lightweight at just over 28 days since 2005. :-)

I suspect no one can compete with perhaps the most iconic figure to frequent this forum, the sadly no longer with us Habanero Smoker at over 188 days! Having said that KyNola comes in at a none too shabby 134 days (!), another legend who contributed so much! :-)

Think the important thing now is that the legacy of members such as HS and KN who contributed so much will live on in the form of the archive.
