Title: Do you use any third-party accessories with your Bradley Smoker?
Post by: laurawoods on September 09, 2025, 12:18:08 AM
Hi everyone, I've been using my Bradley Smoker for a while and really enjoy it. Still, I'm curious if anyone here has tried using third-party accessories (like racks, mats, thermometers, or other add-ons) that aren't officially from Bradley. Do they work well, or do you find they affect the performance of the smoker in any way?

I use an Auber Instruments PID ambient temperature controller for my original BS when hot smoking, this brings much improved temp control and stability notwithstanding I don't hot smoke that much.

Also use third party meat probes, currently the wireless Thermapen (Thermoworks in US) RFX but have also used wired Inkbird and wireless Meater on occasions.

I have Frogmat mats to line the trays and third party metal puck savers. I also have a 4 rack rack holder that someone here on the forum fabricated a good while back, very useful for loading and unloading but unfortunately they have not been available for a long while.
