How to defend against VML zero-day IE exploit until MS puts out a patch. (http://blogs.zdnet.com/Ou/?p=323&tag=nl.e550)
Thanks for the heads up.
Right now I am having an on going battle with About:Blank. I believe I got it while doing a search on chusion roast. One of the search links lead me to a porno site. It keeps trying to hyjack my browser and load ads. So far my Symantec AV software is preventing it from doing so, but it is slowing down my connection. I googled "About Blank", and came up with a ton of hits, I'm now sorting through to see which ones will be useful.
Ok I did a little research and there are three ways to rid yourself of this problem. See this thread. (http://www.pchell.com/support/aboutblank.shtml)
The option I would use is the third one. AUTOMATIC REMOVAL METHOD. (http://www.adwareaway.com/) It looks like you can download a full working copy for a few days. After that it is $29.95.
Check your E-mail.. these folks stuck me with a back up charge that I did not want.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the links. There were so many links that turned up on the search, I wasn't sure were to start. I tried a program called AboutBuster, it got rid of it, but About:Blank returned. After posting I did try Spywarebot, got a lot of hits; but wasn't sure if they were just listing files to get you to pay for the removal.
Adware Away does looks like the better choice. I will down load that this evening and run it.
Thanks again. You may have saved me many hours trying to find a program that can get rid of this.
Did you get the E-mail?
I just checked. Yes I got your e-mail. Thanks! I'll let you know if that program gets rid of About:Blank.
Microsoft has put out a security fix for this problem today!
