Title: Thinking about getting the Bradley
Post by: mike butta on August 07, 2004, 02:40:32 AM
I'm thinking about getting the Bradley but I had a few questions.  How much meat can it hold? Could I put say 4 10lb pork shoulders in it?  And also will it be okay if left outside on a covered porch or will the tempertatures cause problems?

Thanks

I think it could handle 3 of them...4 might be stretching it...

Temps will vary on weather/wind/sun/rain etc...hard to tell on your porch as I can't see it way over here in Arnolds State of "kalifornia"

It should be fine outside but I suggest you get a good reliable thermometer to verify the meat temp...and the bradley temp.

4 racks, 4 butts. You'll want to offset their position L-R & it will be "cozy", but it can be done. Be prepared for a 16-20 hour smoke. When we do our big smokes, we generally cram about 30-40 pounds per smoker.

I've found virtually anything is possible in the Bradley, you just have to use a little ingenuity or ask the members here.

I'm still trying to figure out a way to do a whole hog. I've got everything figured out except where to find a farmer who sells really, really small hogs![:D][:D][:D]

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
