Title: New digital smoker
Post by: preston1 on November 09, 2006, 05:47:23 PM
I can see where this is going now. I have not even recieved my new smoker and have allready fabricated well the truth is I had one of my arrowspace welders make me a totally custom fan bracket ( titanium) for my circulation fan I just got finished putting it together. I have allready spoke to one of my suppliers about getting me a cascading controller for my heat control. Watlow offers some great choices. I am thinking about installing a larger watt heater because of all of the issues I am hearing about trouble maintaning the tempature. I am also planing to install better insulation. my company ( the company that I work for) has some insulation that is in sheets that we use to insulate exaust ducting for everything from fighter jets to space shuttle ducts. I am not from the south but my roots are those of a red neck my family all came from south Texas. I was wondering if there is a form that I should go to for help with my obsesion for this. I do not even have it in my hands yet and out of control. I am planing on cooking everything I can get my hands on. This is a great forum. One other thing. The canadian post office should invest in something other than covered wagons to deliver the mail. My smoker has been there for almost a week at this point.

preston1 welcome.
Like boxer3 says you're a auto shoe in at this house of smoke. I'm into insulation and thermal migration studies for the Trans Alaska Pipeline and Prudhoe Bay oil field myself. You are in for a treat, that's a given equation in this place. Hope the smoker gets to you soon. :)
P.S. I think this forum is the place to take care of the obsession problem. ::) :o :D
