I just made my first batch of jerky with my bradley...it turned out great. I used the Hi Moutain seasoning and cure (original flavor), ground beef and a jerky gun. I used a mix of special blend/hickory. Smoked 1hr, ~190 then 1.5 hr more, came out tender. My brother-in-law said it was better that "gas station" jerky! Thanks forum for the help and hints...I'm already planning my next smoke...thinking about a Thanksgiving turkey with maple and pecan.
slicklefty,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the jerky.....
Big step from jerky to turkey. I suggest several experiments in between, especially using malted beverages. :D :D :D
