I just wanted to thank Smokin Stu for his research on this. I've been looking all over the place for the ET-73 here in Canada and about a week ago I can across a post from about a year ago from Stu. For all you Canucks out there here is the information.
Home Hardware - Product Number 6427182
As Stu indicated it should be no problem for them to order it but they don't list it in their cataloge or website but the number is good. I just got mine today.
Thanks again Smokin Stu
Mike
Hi Mr Walleye, yeah i think the Maverick is a must with the BS, we can't get them at all in the u.k., Kirk from Chezz Bubba kindly sent me one over, don't know what i'd do without it to be honest, anyway glad you got yours ;)

I couldn't agree more with you. Have you guys tried sending an email to Maverick like Smokin Stu did to see if they do have any representation on that side of the pond?
I was able to locate a single TC Maverick (can't remember the model) last summer from Canadian Tire but I was never able to locate the ET-73 until now.

Well i mailed Maverick, and they sent me a list of suppliers, but just as before none of them ship to the u.k. :'(
So, i'd better take good care of my ET-73 ;)

Hey Manx and LS. Something that small wouldn't cost that much to mail to you guys from over here. Let me know on things like that and I'd be happy to expidite for you. I think the last little parcel I sent was a DVD to Manx and it was only $2.50 U.S.
;) :)
Thanks very much iceman, that's nice to know, i'm always slightly nervous when i'm handling my Maverick. It's just fear of dropping it etc knowing they can't be bought over here, and after reading what manx has said i know he feels the same :o
Thanks again..........LilSmoker(http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Tip-Hat.gif)

As LS said, thanks a lot for the kind offer Pat, nice to know there are contingency plans in place!! :D
Johnstone BBQ in north Vancouver carries them. Was just wondering what the going rate for the ET 73?
Mike
Approximately $40.00 US in USA. You can search on line and think that is about the going rate .
Just saw this post...... Glad to hear folks are able to use the info I rounded up. I use my ET-73 and it really is a big help.
I am currently building a PID now, so between the PID and the ET-73, it should really help in my smokin. I have a buddy who got me a metal project box that should also act as a heat dissapator for the SSR. The SSR, PID and thermocouple I got from Auber Instruments - got across the border no problem - and I am hoping to head over to a duddies to have the openings cut out of the metal project box as he has the tools.
I am more than inexperienced on wiring, so wish me luck. It will take me a while yet to do up my PID as its too bloddy cold outside to do any fiddling in the garage.
