Title: Jerky Racks
Post by: Mr Walleye on March 02, 2007, 05:20:27 PM
Has anybody had any problems with the Bradley jerky racks? I have bought 2 sets of them in the last 6 or so months and both sets have peeled the non stick coating. Some worse than others but all of them have peeled. Anybody else having trouble with this? I wonder if there are any racks like them but in chrome.

I have the jerky racks but have not used them yet.  I would prefer ss myself if they were available.

Coating on mine were gone after a few uses.  The standard wire racks are now easier to clean than the non-stick. :'(

I would save the $'s, unless you need the smaller mesh for small pieces. I use a food release product like Pam on the both styles of racks.

Yea, same here. I think the loss of non-stick coating is a free feature. My first set was screwed up after just a couple of uses. The second set has been better - I think because I am using more veg oil and also a different detergent (Dawn Power Dissolver - a spray on and let set a few minutes type of stuff that works good  :D The stuff I used before was wicked  ::)

Dang, wish I read this post before I bought my racks. They will be put through their paces tomorrow with my first attempt at jerky.

Took a pic of the peel on my jerky racks and sent it to Katie @ Bradley. She is sending me a set of new racks and passing the photo onto their manufacturer.
