Ann and I give our best nepa along with the furry four legged kids we have that talk funny Mr. Winston and Keebler the elf dog. So so sorry to hear this my friend but it's probably better in the long run. Indeed they are family.
Very sorry to hear that NePa. Its tough to lose a family member, and thats just what our furry friends are.
Sorry about your loss. We had to make that decision on our two dogs a couple of years back. Really hurts.
NEPA
The Medina family sends you our deepest respects. Our Cody and Kaycee and the Feline Sweetheart send their best to you and your lose.
I know its a tough decision and its made on the right thing for your friend and family.
We know you will miss your friend and we will miss your posts about her.
Sorry to hear about your dog Suzi. She looks like a very nice dog.
As others have mentioned, sometimes in caring for our pets we have to make hard choices. I am sure you gave her a wonderful home and that is more than a lot of pets receive.
Consider a visit to your local Humane Society. I walk through won't hurt at all and you never know, you just may find a friend that really needs a good home!!!
Feelin' your pain , Nepas...went through this last year. Had her 15 years ,she was too good to make suffer.
Still have 4 dogs-3 cats plus some birds.
Chin up,
Doug and Sherie
Nepas, i'm very sad and sorry to hear of your loss of Suzi, pets do indeed become part of the family.
I hope you can find some comfort in the thought that Suzi is no longer suffering, and is now at peace.
Regards LilSmoker
Thanks everyone.
I think our cat knows that she is not here, she has been all over the house and meowing loud. :'(
Thank you all again from..................................Rick, Chrystal & meowers

Nice looking dog you have there boxertrio, thank Hopper for us.
Sorry to hear of your loss NePa, as so many people have said pets become such a part of the family. You did the kindest thing possible by alleviating her suffering...
And many happy memories. :)
NePa
Our condolances from mine to you and yours. It's a tough call when it comes, but believe me you always know the right time. Lost one of our lovely Briards - Cholet at 13 years - last year from same problem. Time is a great healer and enjoy the memories, they can't be taken away.
Grieve not that Suzi has gone, but that she was

Hey NePa, sorry I have to be reading this. Suzi was a lucky pup to have humans like you guys.
I and the Mrs would like to thank everyone for their kind condolences. :)

NePa's,
My family wishes you the best during this tough time. I have never had to do what you did before. My dog Max means the world to my wife and I and I can only image how that feels.
Sorry for your loss.
NePa
We have been dealing wiht our adopted cat's issues lately and we can interstand the problems of when do you act for the pet. Our cat has Feline Lukemia and now Feline Diabeties. He has changed from the active toy chasing feisty cat to a lethargic thirsty creature. We are workign on the Insulin mix ration that will balance him out. But we are fullly aware the cards are against him. But he's part of the family now, after 9 months, he's passed the induction.
But we know his life is limited, we make it what we can and be real about it. Our dogs are old in age and we are aware of that also.
We all have issues with age and illness that we need to deal with. Just know we have this community to lean on and know.
We understand and are here for you! - Johnny & Barbie Medina...
Nepa sorry for your loss beleave me We (me and my wife Betty) know what you and the Mrs. are going through we went through it with the loss of our Rottweiler (Samson) last month we had him for 12 good years but one night he got out and went roaming and got into some Poison. We brought him to the vet but he said it was too late. We miss him as I know you miss your baby......Cajun

Thank you.
We can remember the good times both our families had with our furry kids :). Did the vet say what kind of poison he got? Awhile back there were some mean folks around here putting antifreeze out, dont think they cought them.
Our condolences to you and your family
nepas
Our hearts are with you and yours.... we have our own pet cementry here at the house. From fly squirrels to cats and everything in between. We understand and feel your loss.
Raye
I never found out exactly what it was but the Vet hinted at antifreeze but If I ever find out who did it, I won't take it out on there pet for sure but it will be hell to pay... Cajun
Had to have my favourite cat Stella put down today :'( She had been poorly for some time now and I could not see her suffer any longer. I loved her and will always remember her, R.I.P.

We are there with you. Its hard, but its the right thing. Don't let them suffer when they are hurting so bad. I know we are going to be there soon, our cat is gettign better at times, at others I am not sure. And our two dogs are getting real old. That's coming along faster then we like.
Just set a day and go out and do something she would enjoy and get that sadness and rememberance all in. Feel it for what it is and enjoy the life you had with her. And be comfortable in what you and your family did with her. And let her and your memories rest.
Set your goals and move on, with good memories.
I'm sorry Mike.
I feel your sorrow and pain Mike. A few forum members have had family members taken from us. Our condolences to you and yours. :'(
Here for ya buddy
I live a very simple life
with cats in every space
But when I got to bed at night
they sleep upon my face
Now to live without the luxury
of cats in every space
Would be to live a sorry life
in a very sorry place.
I've never been without a cat
and this I can uphold
I'll have a cat in every space
Until I'm gray and old.
For every fool should be aware
that cats are complex creatures
they live about in every space
And give the house its features.
Now take my house away from me
and place me in a tent
I'll have a cat in every space
And still I'll be content.
nepas & wife
We are with you Mike. I am sure that she had a wonderful life in your home. There are many that are simply running the streets without anyone to care.
Sorry to hear of your loss Mike, hope you can find comfort at knowing the suffering is now over.
LilSmoker ;)
Thanks for the kind words folks,
NePa and Cajun my condolences to yourselves for your losses.
Stella was an orange-tabby cat with the personality of a dog. She was affectionate, loyal, talkative, friendly and unique in every way.
IKW, past experiences taught me that when it's time, your pet will let you know. Her eyes told us that she wasn't going to fight it anymore. I like to think she made the decision, we just helped her avoid the suffering.
I buried her in the corner of the yard so she can keep watch against those pesky racoons. She will always be with us.
Cheers

Have to agree with you on this one for sure mws
Thanks for the guide. We have a cat that adopted us, we are Dog people. We just could not send a cat with Feline Leukimea to a fateful end. He was full of life and fun. He now has Diabetis and loosing weight. we are trying to stabalize with insulin but so far little improvement. He still has desire to be with us and enjoy his new furry frients (2 labs). Just not as much energy. We are hopeful that he will be with us for several more months, maybe year(s). we have come to really love him these last 6 months, but are well aware the cards are stacked against him. He is trying and we are trying with him.
