Title: Franchi semi auto
Post by: Dalby Spook on April 15, 2007, 02:26:45 AM
Hi folks

Do any of you hunters out there know how to unload long recoil action Franchi? On other autos I've used i.e. Berreta, you just keep pulling back the slide and it flips them out of the mag. Not so with this rascal. I have to pull the barrel back hard to cycle a round up the spout THEN eject it via the slide.  Is this right or am I particularly dim?

Same for loading. With Berretas it's lock back the slide, one in the mag, release slide and she's loaded then top up the mag. With the Franchi I lock back the slide then manually push one in the chamber then release the slide. Then load  the mag.

I picked it up for a song last week and shoots very well. Just a pain to operate.

Cheers

This is the Franchi web site's forums. (http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/) I sure you can get an answer there.

Just to let you know, Olds, although I could'nt  find out how to unload the mag on that site, I DID find complete schematics,
how to date it (34 years old) and a company who still hold complete stock of spares and a bunch of other stuff. Many thanks.
