Title: Cabelas Shopping
Post by: NePaSmoKer on May 15, 2007, 08:03:01 PM
I went shopping before work today and was in the bargin cave snooping around. I found a spankin new BPS in the travel case. Asked the lady there whats wrong with it and she said nothing just dont have the box or instructions. So i unzipped it and its still all wrapped and unused. Marked down to $166, with my disc its $121. Dont need it though cuz i have one  ;D

So i was snooping again and found a SS Masterbuilt digital smoker. All there, Lady says its new but last years model with no top vent and no door latch. Reg price is $299 marked down to $220 after my disc its $143 dont need that one neither cuz a Bradley is way better.....................  ;D

I sold 3 6 Rack DBS, 2 OBS, 1 BPS this past week and have told all the buyers about the forum and all the outstanding people here, also about bubba pucks and the great BS company  ;D

I love my job  ;D  ;D  ;D

I am not too far away. I live in Hanover.  I have been to the Hamburg store a couple of times. One of my trips to Cabela's is what turned me on to the Bradley.

Bought my stainless Bradley a couple of weeks ago at the Cabela's in Kyle TX.  On sale for $325 (not in the bargain area).  Sounded like too good a deal to pass up, so I didn't!! ;D

If you live on this side of the pond it is a VERY good deal, in the UK the cheapest we can get an SS OBS for is £340 / $680 and the RRP = £399 / $798!!!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Other prices: OBS Black = $540/£270, 4 rack DBS = $700/£350, 6 rack DBS = $900/£470.

A SS OBS for $325 / £165 ....... still  :'( ing.

Hi Manxman
Just back to rip off Britain after a month of travelling. I am beginning to wonder why on earth we allow ourselves to be hijacked on everything. With the £/$ the way it is how the hell do they arrive at the prices they do over here.
Cheers Boybach
(not been a'smokin much recently- but understand the weather hasn't actually been conducive)

Hi Neil,

Nice to see you back posting. A month travelling.......... sounds great as long it was holiday and not business?  ;)  Where did you get too?  :)

Weather has been VERY poor, I haven't done much smoking myself recently what with the continuous wet and windy weather and the fact I had a spell in hospital and another spell recuperating..... working in a hospital does not lend itself to being a patient!

We certainly do get hijacked over prices.  :'(

Hey, we will hold you to that NPS!  ;D

So we can expect cheaper BS's on this side of the pond by this time next year can we?  ;) :D

Wonder if Wade Bradley is aware of your plans....................... ::)

I can't believe you are paying twice the price for a bradley when your pound is almost worth twice the green back!

SKSmoker we sure are, hey Nepas youv'e got my vote. Paul hope your'e on the mend, I know what you mean about hospitals, its a different ball game when you're the patient isn't it.? Been travelling to the Carribbean partly business - had to attend a conference in Trinidad, then freetime - went on to Togago for a week or so and finally jumped the plane in Antigua en route home as an old ketch I once had was there and we had been invited to spend a bit of time on her for old times' sake. Am now ready for a holiday!!!!
We shall be off down the Canal du Midi in September we have hired a Barge to travel from Toulouse to the Med at Marseilles. Should take about a month. Six of us going three couples all ocean racers so we are going to have quite a shock to the system I fancy. Anyways until then I hope to get a bit of smokin in,  weather permitting.
Have you heard from LilSmoker - last I heard just before I went off he was on his way to Cornwall for a spot of fishing in that shiny new wagon of his
See ya
Neil ;D ;D

QuoteHave you heard from LilSmoker

No, not heard from him recently, probably too busy hauling in the fish!  ;)

Sound like you have been really busy, Tobago, Trinidad, Antigua, France...... what a chore!!!! ;) :D

Quotehad to attend a conference in Trinidad

Mmmm..... Birmingham doesn't have quite the same ring to it which is where my next business trip is in September!  :'(

Given the cr*p weather we are having this summer, may well head off somewhere warm if we don't get some summer between now and September/October.

Well on the mend thanks, tired but a lot better than I was a couple of weeks ago!!

Just about to have some bradley smoked pulled pork and spare ribs with some of Iceman's sauce and rub, it is actually sunny here at the moment so we have lit the Sun Stove, opened the wine and plan a lazy evening in the garden watching the sun go down and getting merry.  ;) :D

I was at work shopping for some pucks and i seen this guy wearing camo shorts and a t-shirt with PETA on the front  :D  :D He was pushing a cart with an arrow stop and fishing lures in it.  :D  :D Makes me wonder if he knew what PETA stands for.
