Title: Freakin Awsome Ribs
Post by: bunnydude on May 23, 2007, 07:55:13 PM
Earlier I posted my first ever multiple meat smoke Chicken and Ribs.
Well, I used my own rub on the ribs and let them set all night before I smoked them today, so the rub had a chance to do its magic. During the smoke the second and third hour I used a tasty little drink called APPLE BEER to mop my ribs with.
That made them FREAKIN AWSOME for real. You all need to try it.
I smoked'em for 2 hours with a mesquite and alder mix 2/1. then let them go for two more hours at about 215 degree. Then I did an FTC for 2 hours it was just AWSOME. Thanks to all the great postings I was able to do my twist and come up with an awsome recipie THANKS ALL :P :P :P

Congrats there Bunny,
Sounding real good.  Never heard of apple beer but then I am not a conisour of hops.  Now I have heard of and tasted Ginger Beer, but I suspect that is not even in the same league. ;)

I've seen apple beer in some of my travels but can't recall where it was.

Apple beer is not made with hops it is apple juice and other things. It is canned by the Apple Beer Corp. out of Salt Lake City Utah.

FYI:  Ginger Beer is not beer either.  It is a soda.

In the u.k. the only apple beer i know is cider ;D

As Giz said root/ginger beer is not real beer, neither is apple beer, but sounds nice to put on ribs, although i doubt it's available on this side of the pond :-\

Anyway, here's the apple beer:
